Reflection #2: “Racism Stimulator”?

This. is. so. stupid. Apparently, the aim of this “racism stimulator” is to point out how websites such as Buzzfeed and Gawker get away with racist content and posts simply by targeting “oppressor” groups (such as articles titled “29 Things White People Ruined).  This is a prime example of white fragility’s belief in concepts such as reverse racism (which isn’t real btw).  By simply switching the words “white” and “black” in news article titles, you’re assuming that white and black people’s experiences are interchangeable and that they move through the world on the same footing, completely ignoring the historical and systemic oppressions that black people have endured at the hands of white supremacy.  They are not interchangeable.  Their experiences do not begin from the same vantage points.
