I’m a bit puzzled by my inner-dissidence with this post, since LLAG usually hits the nail right on the head in terms of calling out the white cisheteropatriarchy on its fuckery. This sounds like a good theory, but I’m not sure if finding a common enemy will do much good in the greater scheme of things. Liberals and conservatives are already too splintered from each other, and that’s because of fundamental differences in ideology that either side are unwilling to renounce. Maybe taking down the notably radical and conservative assholes may unite us for a time, but it’s a myopic solution. Maybe we should focus on attacking systems and creating systemic change instead of making our crusade for political change so person-centered…?
